Vicki Thorn's Project Rachel - Her Lifetime Accomplishment
While raising her six children, Vicki Thorn started Project Rachel. Project Rachel began as a diocesan effort in 1984, and it grew in popularity and support throughout the United States and subsequently Canada, including the Diocese of Calgary.
When she started Project Rachel, she recalls that there were no experts available to consult at the time. She was convinced at the time, and she currently conducts a post-abortion healing ministry that is anonymous, has a strong spiritual component, and incorporates psychotherapy.
Rachel mourns her children and refuses to be consoled because they are no longer alive, hence the moniker Project Rachel.
