Rihanna collaborated with A$AP Rocky for a “short film” titled Born to Steal: Yours, Mine, Ours, promoting a new Fenty Skin product. The video premiered on Fenty Skin and Fenty Beauty’s YouTube channels on Wednesday morning.
In the noir-inspired ad, the multi-hyphenate stars as the femme fatale, who the narrator says likes to “hoard” clothes from the “unsuspecting male” — in this case, the rapper. He catches her in the act of smuggling his blazer but stands back. When Rihanna steps out of the house in the “stolen” wardrobe, Rocky gazes out the window while massaging his lips with the Fenty Lux Balm.

This isn’t Rocky’s first appearance in his partner’s Fenty campaign. In early January, the artist appeared in an Instagram ad set to his own song “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n)” posing with the balm, which is referenced in the aforementioned track (“Luxe balm up in my palm/ New collab’ with my baby mom”).
When Rihanna announced her onscreen collaboration with Rocky on Tuesday, it was met with some disappointment from fans who were hoping this would mean new music. However, the fashion mogul’s venture back into music appears to be imminent, as she told British Vogue in 2023 that she was planning a new album.
“I want it to be this year,” Rihanna said at the time. “Like, honestly, it’d be ridiculous if it’s not this year. But I just want to have fun. I just want to make music and make videos.”
