At a time when fast-food prices are soaring due to labor shortages and the rising cost of ingredients, Popeyes has revived a fan-favorite meal that’s easy on the wallet: the $6 Big Box.
Last available in January of 2018, Popeyes Big Box (also referred to as the “Bonafide Big Box”) is now back for $6 when placing your order in-store or at the drive-thru. The deal features a choice of two pieces of bone-in chicken or three chicken tenders, served with two signature sides—such as red beans and rice or mashed potatoes—and the Louisiana Kitchen’s iconic buttermilk biscuit.

And to tack another bonus onto the deal, this beloved boxed meal drops down to its original price of $5 when customers order ahead for pickup through Popeyes’ mobile app or website.
Although the $6 Big Box is a limited-time offer, it’s unclear how long it will be available. Since its 2014 release, the popular meal has made several appearances on the Popeyes’ menu. Other limited-time box deals include the $5 Butterfly Shrimp Tackle Box—which was last seen on the chain’s menu in 2021— and the $10 Popeyes Sampler—which was launched in June of 2020.
And while Popeyes’ menu items come and go, there is no end to the rollout of customer perks. Last year, the fast-food chain launched its first loyalty program that allows customers to earn points toward free menu items each time they place an order on the Popeyes mobile app or website.
In addition to automatically earning 10 points for every dollar spent, customers can get bonus points on combos and family meals, and get a free apple pie, regular side, or small drink when they sign up for the program.
