The Pope most definitely found that dope! During his papal parade in Philadelphia, Pa., on Saturday, Sept. 26, Pope Francis spotted a baby dressed in a pope costume — and the Catholic Church’s leader found it so cute that he giggled.
Footage from 6ABC shows the religious figure riding down Philly’s famed Benjamin Franklin Parkway along with his motorcade. To his left, he spotted a family of three — couple Daniel and Dana Madden with their baby girl, Quinn, who was outfitted to look like His Holiness.
The oftentimes-solemn church leader started laughing in response to the mom holding up her little one, whose white attire was complete with a mini mitre, the pope’s ceremonial white pointed headdress.
The pope’s security personnel also grinned, and brought the baby over to the pope. The Pontiff gave baby Quinn a kiss and sent a message along with his guards.
Daniel told 6ABC that the Pope told her via his team to “tell us that we have a great sense of humor.”

Us Weekly was on site this past weekend in the City of Brotherly Love to witness the final stop of the pope’s U.S. visit. “The atmosphere in Philadelphia was so exciting,” one observer tells Us. “There were people giving away water, Pope Francis pins, coffee, etc., and people selling all kinds of merchandise, from posters to shirts with his face on it to ‘Straight Outta Rome’ shirts.”
The motorcade was an exciting moment especially for young kids. “He drove around pretty quickly but stopped about 15 times for people to pass babies through the crowd,” the eyewitness adds. “And then the Secret Service would grab [the baby] and give him to the Pope to kiss his head and bless him. Most people agreed that if you were older than 2, you probably weren’t getting a personal interaction with the pope.”
