BBC America original Copper continues to beef up the cast for its sophomore run this summer.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that William “Billy” Baldwin will appear in the final two episodes of the upcoming season, playing a tough and charming Tammany Hall fixer in the Five Points New York period drama. Baldwin’s most recent TV credits include Gossip Girl and Hawaii Five-O.
Baldwin’s character, William “Wild Bill” Eustace, is described as the scion of a successful river barge owning family who parlayed a business career into political power and a rising star in the 1860s New York’s political machine.
The character is one of many additions to the cast of the Tom Weston-Jones starrer. Donal Logue was previously announced as a new regular, with Alfre Woodard, Eamonn Walker and Lee Tergesen all joining as guests. Lindy Booth (Fairly Legal) is also set to appear at the end of the season.
Copper enters its second season on Sunday, June 23. A Cineflix production in association with BBC America and Shaw Media, the sophomore run also finds Thomas Kelly (Blue Bloods) taking over as showrunner.
Baldwin is repped by Paradigm.
